This is the most complete all round filter kit we have ever had.
With Red, ND4, UV, CPL, Yellow, Purple Filters included in the package and an adapter to mount the 52mm lens onto the Hero 4/3+ Slimline Housing, you will be ready to shoot in almost any water conditions.
All the filters are made from high quality glass.
Red filters compensate for the lack of red spectrum light in underwater scenes (since red is the first colour to be lost when descending in water). This shift in available light will often confuse the camera's white balance metering, so the red filter helps deliver accurate, vibrant colour in your video, as well as much-needed contrast. The Xtreme red filter is designed to be used in tropical and blue water, optimized for use between 4-21m
Best Use: Ambient light (no video lights). Blue water.
ND filters also known as Neutral Density Filters reduce the amount of light reaching the camera lens, thus the filter stops light reaching the camera sensor, therefore allowing the camera to shoot with a higher aperture for a longer amount of time.
A ND Filter is able to reduce or modify the intensity of all wavelengths or colours of light equally, giving no changes in hue of colour rendition. This means that the camera can perform with a higher aperture in order to make your shot look closer to how it appears to the eye.
Using a ND Filter allows the photographer to select combinations of aperture, exposure time and sensor sensitivity which would otherwise produce overexposed pictures. This is done to achieve effects such as a shallower depth of field and/or motion blur of a subject in a wider range of situations and atmospheric conditions.
CPL Circular Polarising filter improves the overall image quality in a couple of ways.
Firstly it increases colour contrast and saturation, for instance increases the contrast of blue skies. Secondly, it reduces reflections that are often seen when photographing water, glass and similar reflective surfaces. Circular Polarising filter ensures uniform light distribution; therefore maintain the sharpness and colour balance in images.
PL Polarizing filter or polarising filter helps you darken skies, manage reflections, or suppress glare from the surface of lakes or the sea.
Magenta filters also compensate for the lack of red light but are optimized for green water between 4-21m. Not only do the filters bring colour back into the scene, but they also help bring back the contrast needed for interesting video.
Best Use: Ambient light (no video lights). Green water (Cape Town).
The Yellow Filters best use is in shallow tropical waters in the morning in order to bring colour back into the scene, as well as help bring back the contrast needed for interesting video (under 10m)
UV filter is the multi-functional filter; it blocks UV light from entering the lens and therefore reducing blurring, haziness and blue casting. At the same time, it is a very useful tool to add protection to the lens against dust, moisture, scratches.

THE FINE PRINT
Xtreme Xccessories gives its utmost to serve customers as quickly as possible. In actual fact, it excites us to do it quicker every day. It is, however, a reality that delivery companies are sometimes subject to strikes and other delays, hence the need for more than one courier company. It is most certainly in the minority that a problem arises. Should any delay happen, we will follow up, lodge and handle queries with the particular courier company.
If you have any queries please contact email@example.com or phone us at 021 001 8852.
